Breakfast cereals, baby food and coffee vending machines are set to post the highest growth, the company’s General Manager, Paul Nuber, told Business Standard.

Nestle Romania registered a 30 percent annual increase in sales in 2007, above the company’s initial estimates. The company owns an ice cream factory in Bucharest, and a sweet factory in the western city of Timisoara.

The local sweets market was worth €241 million in 2007, some 25 percent higher year-on-year, according to a study by research company Nielsen. Nestle’s main competitor locally is multinational company Unilever.
