“The company remains committed to investments on Romania’s ice cream market, especially on the distribution and commercial segments,” Nestle representatives said.
Nestle bought Greek Delta Ice Cream company in 2006. The company estimates 20-30 percent turnover increase this year. It posted turnover worth some €300 million in 2007, 30 percent higher year-on-year. Nestle is operating in Romania since 1995 and has over 600 employees.
The Romanian ice cream market was estimated at €100 million in 2007, some 30 percent higher year-on-year. The main producers are Nestle, Kubo, Betty Ice, Alpin’57 Lux, Top Gel and Napolact.
