“We have Romanian businesspeople as clients, coming from fields such as real estate and constructions, pharmaceutical industry or media. For next year, NetJets is to attract one or two clients per month,” the company’s Representative for the Balkan region and Israel, Mike Costache, told Business Standard.
Furthermore, NetJets has local clients who purchased Private Jet Cards, allowing 25 flight hours per year. “A client in Romania, businessman in the real estate and constructions field, purchased six cards for an eight-seat plane. The price tag for such a card is €189,000,” Costache said. The cheapest card is worth €131,000 for a seven-seat plane, while the most expensive costs €390,000 for a 14-seat plane.
According to Costache, most clients secured in Romania in the past two years purchased a card initially and later decided to buy part of a plane and become co-owners.
The company has some 135 planes in Europe, while its fleet amounts to 487 airplanes in the U.S.
