Although training prices per day are 20 percent lower than in Bucharest, companies in the field say the Cluj market is the second-largest in the country, in terms of business opportunities.
“There are companies with headquarters in Cluj that pay some €1,800-2,000 per training day,” according to Achieve Global training company’s National Business Development Manager, Cosmin Joldes.
He added that several companies have requested training services in Cluj, while clients are likewise becoming more demanding and selective. Achieve Global has no office in Cluj-Napoca, but has operations there. “Local clients are not only investing in basic training, but also in complex solutions, including middle management positions. Local companies invest in training personnel using both their own money and attracting EU funds,” Joldes added.
The Cluj-Napoca training market was formerly dominated by local companies, such as DeKlausen and Centrul de Dezvoltare Manageriala. However, in the past year, top players in Bucharest, including Ascendis and Achieve Global, have launched operations in Cluj. This month, Develor Romania, the local subsidiary of a Hungarian training company, has opened a branch in Cluj-Napoca, providing human resource and sales advisory services and management ability development solutions.
