Some 177,685 units were sold in the first seven months of the year, up against the 145,154 units sold between January and July 2006. The sales of commercial vehicles went up 28.8 percent, from 21,042 units to 27,095 units.
The total number of cars sold in the analysed period stood at 206,089 units, up 23.3 percent against the ones sold last year. A total of 35.995 units were sold in July, up 3.1 against June this year.
Some 143.651 units were produced in Romania in the January-July period, up 11 percent against the 129,000 cars produces last year. Exports grew 42.8 percent, to 69,457 units.
