The last round of talks is scheduled for June 12, ARIS Vice President, Monica Barbuletiu, told Business Standard.
She added that the Austrian company is interested in how European Union funds and state aid can be accessed for this investment.
The final location for Voestalpine’s plant is the southeastern town of Agigea, because it will allow for the transportation of raw materials on the Danube River. “They are interested in every detail. They have requested data from the Education Ministry about professional schools in the city of Constanta [close to Agigea], to discuss, among other subjects, the inclusion of several personnel training classes in the curricula,” Barbuletiu said.
Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu visited the Voestalpine headquarters last month, and told company officials that the Romanian authorities would ensure the best conditions for this investment.
