The bank’s former CEO, Manfred Wimmer, was appointed Vice President of the supervisory council, according to yesterday’s decision by BCR’s shareholders in a general meeting. Shareholders decided to halt the procedures of a share issue approved last February, which included a maximum €2.5 billion value for 2007-2009, and approved a new bond issuing program on local and international markets.
The newly-elected members will begin work upon approval from the National Bank of Romania (BNR). Erste Bank’s new Chief Financial Officer, Manfred Wimmer, replaces Peter Kisbenedek in BCR’s supervisory council.
