Nicolae Demetriade: Cruises are the future of tourism

“Romanian tourists do not yet know what it means to travel 7-10 days on a three-star cruise ship and see five countries. And prices are not as high as many of those who choose to spend their holidays abroad assume,” said Demetriade, former owner of the Happy Tour travel agency, which was sold last year in one of the largest transactions on the tourism market.

Thus, the price of a four-night cruise to Ibiza starts at €280 per person, all meals included. This price of airfare to Barcelona, where tourists are embarked on the ship, is not included.

Concerning the possibility of Royal Caribbean ships coming to Romania, the businessman explained that, until infrastructure exists that will allow 3,500 people to be disembarked in half an hour, this is not a real option.
