This is their option and we respect this,” he added.

Sources close to the discussions say the three partners are to be followed by a further 20 lawyers from the company, although NNDKP representatives denied this information.

The law firm currently has 12 partners and some 100 lawyers.

Meanwhile, two senior lawyers of the local subsidiary of international Linklaters law firm, Alexandru Birsan and Alina Stan, have also left their employer. Contacted by Business Standard, Birsan declined to comment on the information. Sources said the two teams could become associated, as Francisc Peli worked for Linklaters before joining NNDKP.
