State-owned Nuclearelectrica energy company, operator of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, could be listed on the stock exchange in the first half of 2009, said the Minister of Economy and Finance, Varujan Vosganian.

“Preparations for listing are nearly complete and we hope to sell shares on the stock exchange in the first half of 2009 if the background of the stock market is good,” said Vosganian. According to the Minister, Nuclearelectrica will sell some 10 percent of its shares.

Vosganian added that he hopes the share package of the integrated energy company will be sold on the stock exchange soon.
