Some 962,800 foreign tourists came to Romania in July. Most came from European countries (94.3 percent) while visitors from EU countries made up 64.2 percent of the total.

The number of Romanians who crossed the border to other countries in July stood at 1.16 million, a 30.2 percent rise against July 2006. Overnight accommodation between January 1, 2007 and July 31, 2007 grew 11.4 percent from the same period last year.
