Official document reveals agency heads with net monthly wages of €3,833 and drivers €974

The President of ACATS had a net monthly wage in the first nine months of RON 13,838 (€3,833), while a director of an agency made RON 7,668 (€2,124). The wages of department or bureau heads amounted to RON 6,886 (€1,907) and RON 6,349 (€1,758) respectively.

Experts or advisors, including legal counsel, received between RON 5,099 (€1,412) and RON 5,605 (€1,552), while a human resource inspector’s monthly wage is RON 4,415 (€1,222).

The head of ANRE received a net salary worth RON 13,751 (€3,809), while Vice President of the institution received slightly less, at RON 12,669 (€3,509).
ANRE experts and advisors had net wages of between RON 7,410 (€2,052) and RON 7,645 (€2,117), while legal counsel received RON 4,794 (€1,327).

The net monthly income of a category I driver for ANRE was RON 3,517 (€974), while an archivist received RON 2,865 (€793), and a cashier RON 2,983 (€826).

According to the state code of positions, the President of the Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) has a base wage of RON 8,825 (€2,444), which becomes double due to two benefits, namely for confidentiality (30 percent of the wage) and professional risk (50 percent). To this is added a benefit for seniority (between 5 and 25 percent of the base salary) and a stability benefit (also 5-20 percent).
As such, the directors of government agencies made a net monthly wage in the January-September 2008 period of between RON 4,375 (€1,211) and RON 13,838 (€3,833), including indemnizations and benefits, while the drivers, cashiers and archivists made up to RON 3,517 (€974).
