One in five buyers acquire a home as an investment

Consultants mention a new type of acquisition, for children or parents, and 7 percent of acquisitions of exclusive Colliers projects are intended therefore. The survey indicates that 59 percent of buyers are employed, while the remaining 41 percent have their own business.

"When asked about their positions in their company, 49 percent responded that they had management positions, 14 percent work in sales and 10 percent in financial departments," according to a company statement. The first three fields of activity of respondents are trade, banking services, and consultancy.
In terms of revenue, 42 percent of Colliers buyers earn between €1,000-3,000/month, followed by 28 percent with monthly incomes exceeding €5,000, and 26 percent of €3,000-5,000/month.

Colliers International announced net sales exceeding €20 mln in 2007, double that in 2006. The company is market leader, with a market share of more than 40 percent, up 6 percent year-on-year.
