Orange paid over €1.5 mln for 637 prints, while Vodafone purchased 335 prints for €1.06 mln. Consumer goods and mobile phone companies are dominating the advertisers top for printed media.
Only two auto companies, Porsche Romania and Renault Nissan are in the top 10. Renault Nissan spent almost €1 million for 241 prints, while Porsche Romania is ranks fifth, with over €850,000 invested (rate card) for 217 prints.
National newspapers earned some €5.5 million from the top ten advertisers in the first three months of 2008. The top two investors on this segment are Orange and Vodafone.
As far as magazine advertising is concerned, L'Oreal Romania ranks first, with 220 prints worth €1.07 mln, followed by Procter&Gamble, with €780,000 for 244 prints.
The only bank in the top ten is Banca Comerciala Romana, part of Austrian group Erste, which paid €684,000 for advertising. In Q1 of 2007, the bank had paid €1.1 mln for advertising.
