Orange Romania closed 2007 with some 10 million users

Orange Romania’s income rose in 2007 by 24.3 percent to €1,234 billion. The number of users increased 22 percent year-on-year, up to 9.8 million users, France Telecom announced today.

The 2007 evolution of Orange Romania, part of French group France Telecom, was sustained by an increased number of prepaid customers and a higher monthly average income per user by 4.9 percent to €10.7.

The net profit of France Telecom was 52.2 percent higher, at €6.3 bln, from €4.14 bln in 2006.

France Telecom posted €52.95 billion in turnover, 2.4 percent higher year-on-year. The French group had 170 million clients by the end of 2007, 7 percent higher than in 2006, of which 110 million were mobile phone services clients.
