Orban: CFR Marfa’s privatization worth €1 billion euro

The consortium handling the privatization strategy in the coming three months is Deloitte - Bostina and Asociatii, and the contract is worth RON 190,000 (€55,000). “The privatization of CFR Marfa will be carried out according to a strategy to be adopted by Government Ordinance.  What is important is that the privatization generates serious income for and raises the competitiveness of the company on local and foreign markets,” added Orban.  The Minister went on to say that there have been no intentions to acquire CFR Marfa to date, but based on discussions with foreign officials it is clear that the interest in the company is very great.
