The turnover of the Siemens companies in surged by 24.7 percent, to almost €363 mln from €290.3 mln, due to an increase in the number of contracts. The turnover of Siemens SRL, which operates as regional company and local subsidiary of Siemens AG Austria, soared by 32.2 percent, to €274 mln, from 205.7 mln.
"The volume and value of direct contracts signed in has increased, which is reflected in the registered profit," said Adrian Baicusi, General Manager of Siemens SRL.
Siemens SRL's profit increased by an annual 51.4 percent in the 2006-2007 fiscal year, up to €5.3 mln, from €3.5 mln. In the same period, Siemens Romania's profit amounted to €6.6 mln, according to company officials.
Baicusi said recently in an interview for Business Standard that the company's investment target for next year is similar to that in 2007. "We are heading in all directions. We will either find people and train them, or look toward companies who already have people and are developing solutions, so we are open to all opportunities."
