Over 7,500 Dacia factory employees went on strike Monday morning

According to Automobile Dacia Trade Union (SAD), over 7,500 people are on strike.

“I am in the factory, where the general strike began at 7:00 a.m., involving over 80 percent of employees. I have not seen this many people gathered since the Ceausescu era. Volunteers came for the second and third shifts, and I had no way to stop them. I am convinced that the administration will call us for negotiations after 10 days of strike, but I think that we will be on strike for at least 20 days because they will not accept our demands. We are not asking for more money. We only ask that our work be rewarded with necessary money. At €150 million in profit last year, their 12 percent offer is offensive,” said SAD leader Nicolae Pavelescu. (NewsIn)
