Paper Plus net sales up 77% in 2007
Paper Plus, major Romanian Away from Home (AfH) player, registered sales of 700 tons of paper products (consumables: napkins, paper towels, toilet paper) in 2007, 20 percent more year-on-year, at a cumulated total value exceeding €1.2 million.
“The year 2007 was beneficial for the development and consolidation of Paper Plus’ business, owing to a 77 percent increase in net sales of international brand Lotus Professional and Katrin paper products, and our own PaperStoc brand. We are expecting to maintain this same rhythm of growth in 2008, especially since demand for such products is continually rising,” said Marian Ivan, General Manager of Paper Plus.

According to Paper Plus officials, the best-selling products were folded napkins, contributing 30 percent to total sales of paper products in 2007, and the highest volume of such sales were registered in Bucharest, at 65 percent of total paper sales in 2007.

Paper Plus is expecting an increase of at least 50 percent in sales of paper products in 2008, and top buyers contributing to this increase will be office complexes, the food and auto industries, and HoReCa.

Established in 2002, Paper Plus offers AfH professional care solutions, such as rolls of paper, paper towels, napkins, and handkerchiefs, as well as dispensers and industrial supports for paper, the latter two for which is also offers servicing. The company’s products are available in all major urban centers around the country, including Arad, Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Iasi, Ploiesti and Timisoara.
