Parliamentarians opt for territorial positions

No less than 53 parliamentarians have decided to give up their positions in Parliament in order to run for local administrative positions, moving the stake of political confrontations from the center to the territory. 

This move has led to a blockage of initiatives on the agendas of the plenary or commissions. On the other hand, following local elections, these politicians are betting on ample projects with European financing, with absorption of community funds the most ambitious objective for most of the candidates contacted by Business Standard.
