Patriciu: I will not sell the 25 percent Rompetrol package

Dinu Patriciu, Chief Executive Officer of Rompetrol, announced that he does not intend to sell his remaining Rompetrol share package. “I have the option of asking KMG to buy, and they could ask me to sell, but I am not selling,” said Patriciu.
Patriciu still owns 25 percent of Rompetrol after selling 75 percent last year to Kazakh company KazMunaiGaz (KMG). The transaction’s data has not yet been made public. Through this acquisition, KMG has penetrated the European oil product market after several failed attempts.
