Perl quitting Enterprise Investors

 “Mr. Perl expressed his wish to consider whether or not to extend his contract with Enterprise in September. Apparently he might opt for a field other than closed investment funds,” the source told Business Standard.

Perl did not comment on the information. He has been working for Enterprise for some seven years, and is one of the pioneers of the private equity capital fund industry. He has also worked for the Danube and Oresa Ventures funds.

Polish Enterprise Fund VI has a €150 million budget to invest in Romanian companies in the coming three years.

Enterprise Investors has invested over €80 million in Romanian companies, with an average capital multiplication rate 2.5 times higher than the initial investment, according to NewsIn.

The only exit was that of Orange-Mobil Rom Romania, with a $78 million (€57 million) profit, 3.9 times higher that capital originally invested.

Enterprise Investors took over the Artima supermarket chain for €17 million, and 22.5 percent of the information technology Siveco company (together with Intel). Its latest acquisition was the Macon Deva construction material producer, for €35 million. The company administers €1.6 billion worth of assets in Central and Eastern Europe.
