Pernod Ricard Romania offering Absolut Vodka

The French Pernod Ricard acquired the Swedish Vin & Sprit company, and producer of Absolut Vodka, world leader on the premium vodka segment. In Romania, Absolut has a market share of some 24 percent.

Pernod Ricard is one of the main alcoholic drinks producers and distributors, with brands like Ballantine’s, Chivas Regal, Queen Anne, Malibu, Havana Club, Beefeater, Jameson and The Glenlivet. The company owns a 25 percent market share of total imports of alcoholic drinks to Romania.

Pernod Ricard Romania posted turnover worth €20 million last year, and is expecting 35 percent higher turnover this year. Ballantine’s claims a 40 percent share of total sales and is the Romanian whisky market leader, with 12 percent.
