The company announced it is preparing a series of “surprise” campaigns for liquidating all stocks by year-end. Officials indicated that the increase in market share next year will be supported by the launch of the new 206+ volume models, the 207 facelift model, the 3008 model, the 308cc convertible, and the premium Peugeot 308 RCZ model.
The strategy for the local market includes a system for financing second-hand cars, with a 20 percent down payment and no scoring system, called MyDeal, which has made possible the acquisition of some 600 cars to date. Another competitive advantage of Peugeot, according to company officials, is paying taxes based on CO2 emissions, which is expected to go into effect at the beginning of 2010.
