“This is a sign of blockage. If prices were to be recalculated, the market would show a 10-12 percent increase,” said Dragos Dinu, CEO of A&D Pharma.
The market’s evolution will be influenced by new regulations for prescriptions and the new list of compensated drugs. The General Manager of ADM Farm, Dragos Pop, believes that the market can expect an annual increase of some 10 percent for three more years, after which the growth rhythm will slow.
“The Romanian pharmaceutical market will continue to grow, but not as much as in the past few years. We can see market stabilization,” said General Manager of Hoffman la Roche, Dan Zamonea. He indicated that the market analysis is much more relevant in terms of producer prices, because the data is closer to company reports.
