Pillar III funds attracted a total of 59,452 participants. Most of them opted for the AZT Moderato medium risk fund, administered by Allianz-Tiriac, with 15,196 clients and assets worth RON 3.36 million (over €900,000), 3.9 percent higher than the previous week.
Second place, in terms of subscribers, goes to another Allianz-Tirac administered fund, with 12,853 clients. The high risk fund assets advanced by 6.53 percent up to RON 1.76 mln (over €567,000).
Banca Comerciala Romana’s (BCR) Prudent fund, with 11,525 subscribers, has the highest net volume in assets, of RON 7.72 mln (over €2 mln) and posted top growth in the respective period, of 9.08 percent.
The two medium risk funds administered by ING Asigurari de Viata, ING Clasic and ING Optim, attracted 9,210 and 5,138 participants, respectively.
The value of ING Clasic assets increased 7.12 percent, to RON 2.5 mln (some €674,000), while assets of ING Optim rose 7.97 percent, to RON 1.18 mln (some €319,000).
Pensia Mea, an Aviva administered fund, attracted 5,269 participants, with volume of assets up 3.84 percent, to some RON 1.04 mln (over €280,000).
“We are expecting a doubling of active funds on the optional pension market in 2008,” said CSSPP President Mircea Oancea in early January.
