Dehelean, Managing Partner of the Selenis communication consultancy company, and one of Planorama’s clients, paid some €94,000 two years ago for a two-bedroom apartment, which he should have taken possession of in June 2007.
“In any case, I do not believe I will get any money back from the amount I have already paid. I hope I will, but I don’t think so. In an ideal situation, I should get back at least €70,000, but I am not even sure about that,” Dehelean told Business Standard.
“The contract puts the buyer at a disadvantage. I cannot even claim damages for more than 10 percent. But I will go to court and demand the bankruptcy of the company, together with other deceived clients,” Dehelean said.
Officials of Euro Habitat could not be contacted. Planorama should have finalized 1,100 apartments by now, in four buildings in Bucharest, but no housing unit has been completed.
