Representatives of Spanish Eurogalia SL, part of Spanish Fadesa Group, confirmed the transaction, but did not provide any other details. Barlinek will invest in the relaunching of Diana Forest’s activities. The company closed one of its three factories in Bacau County last year, and had planned to shut the remaining two units.

Diana Forest had turnover worth €23 mln in 2007, and €2.8 mln in profit.
The Polish Barlinek group showed interest in investing in Romania, and announced as far back as 2005 that it had €40 mln to invest in a parquet factory.
Solowow owns three major companies in Poland: Barlinek, Dwory and Cersanit.
Forbes lists Solowow as the richest man in Poland with a fortune worth €2.3 billion.
