Porumboiu targets €200 worth of business in 2008

Last year, Porumboiu's group of companies posted €150 mln in business. Porumboiu told Business Standard that the 10 percent growth he had forecast for 2007 will be achieved, in spite of this summer’s severe drought.

With 43,000 hectares of agricultural fields, Porumboiu is among the top five agricultural producers in Romania. Other major players are TCE 3 Brazi, Agro Chirnogi, Comcereal Dolj, and Interagro.

Racova Com-Agro-Pan finalized investments worth €28 million this year. Early next year, a further €12 million will be invested in the Ulerom oil factory, to more than double its production capacity to a daily 500 tons, from the current 200 tons.
