“Such investments can ensure major profits with minimal risks. CSSPP could initially enforce a regulation allowing pension funds to invest in funds with private equity payments, and later to allow direct investments in private equity funds,” a specialist in the field told Business Standard.
Representatives of South Eastern Europe’s Private Equity Association (SEEPEA) are to meet CSSPP officials today to discuss this issue.
Pension funds are considered the hot deal of the coming years, as they are expected to collect €200-300 million in pension contributions this year. By 2014, these funds could collect up to €2 billion.
