Tender added that the companies can be further developed and their value could increase on a daily basis, as these are part of the oil and gas extraction industry, whose companies need increasingly more. “I think my two companies are the most competitive on the market, in terms of prices and equipment,” he added.

Prospectiuni recently entered the Iranian market, through a contract worth €3 mln and talks are ongoing for similar projects in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Egypt. On the local market, its main clients are Romania’s largest company, Petrom, owned by Austrian group OMV, and state-owned natural gas producer, Romgaz.

Atlas Gip ended the first nine months of 2007 with RON 9.8 mln in profits (€2.99 mln). Prospectiuni posted profits worth RON 44.7 mln (€ 13.32 mln), 36.9 percent higher year-on-year.
