As of March, Rangu also became President and CEO of IIRUC Service, an IT company recently acquired by Raiffeisen Informatik
The IT&C Manager position was annulled and the segment will be coordinated by Vice President for Operations and IT, Carl Rossey.
Rangu’s new position “in the long term, includes the replicating of the Raiffeisen Informatik Vienna business model in all CEE countries, as complete IT solution and service provider on those markets,” he told Business Standard.
The first operation will be to establish a Romanian-based Eastern European hub, starting with the IIRUC Service acquisition and the integration of further acquisitions, he added.
Several Romanian managers in the field have been appointed to regional positions. The Country Manager of Microsoft’s Romanian subsidiary, Silviu Hotaran, acted as Regional Manager for Microsoft South-Eastern Europe between 2004 and 2007. The former General Manager of IMB Romania and Moldova, Vladimir Aninoiu, is Manager Developing Markets of IMB CEMAAS (Central Europe, East, Africa, Austria and Switzerland).
