Raiffeisen sees 22% premium for OMV share price

OMV announced net profit up 22 percent, to €489 mln in the third quarter of 2007 year-on-year. OMV’s operational profit in the first nine months of the year was up 2 percent compared to the same period in 2006, at €1.693 bln, and Petrom’s contribution accounted for €506 mln.

The takeover scenario of its Hungarian competitor, MOL, “is still alive,” according to RZB analysts, and becoming an important European issue, owing to the fact that the European Commission could be called upon to decide on anti-trust regulations.
