“It is natural that when construction drops, the use of bricks declines,” the President of the Board of Directors of Ceramica Iasi brick producer, Bruno Negoita, told Business Standard. He estimates that sales will drop by as much as 20 percent. “This will affect mainly large producers, as small companies have lower [production] capacities and are able to sell their stock,” Negoita added.
Ceramica’s sales were unaffected this year, as the company is producing bricks at the maximum capacity, but certain negative effects will become visible on the market next year, he said.
