“We are looking mostly for commercial workers and cashiers, but also have vacancies for specialists,” Simion added. “Given the current economic-financial context, with frequent restructuring, the number of potential applicants will rise. However, I do not expect to see major changes in terms of the number of specialists,” the company official said.
According to Real Hypermarket’s HR Manager, the number of specialists is very low compared to demand on the job market, because there is a gap between the alignment of the educational system and the market’s real requirements.
Real Hypermarket Romania posted a 92 percent annual rise in net turnover in 2008, to RON 2.35 billion (€638 million). The company’s direct competitors include Carrefour, Auchan, Kaufland, Cora, and Pic.
