Recruiters have some 7,000 jobs available

The supply of jobs fell slightly in this year’s first quarter compared to the same period last year, due to the economic downturn. “We presently have over 5,800 jobs open in all fields of activity,” Roxana Timofte, Public Relations representative of the BestJobs recruitment website, told Business Standard.

Adecco, the leading recruitment company on the local market, is currently offering more than 150 jobs, 40 of which are for middle and top management positions.

The number of jobs announced in the past 24 hours countrywide on the eJobs website exceeds 1,000, while jobs offered by the Lugera&Makler recruiting company exceeds 400, most of which are for specialists.

“Last year, on the recruitment segment alone, we had an average of over 500 jobs available every month, and this year the number of jobs does not exceed 150,” said Cristina Savuica, Managing Partner of Lugera&Makler.

Petronela Amelia Ciocan, Recruitment Manager of Trenkwalder Sobis, said that employers are most desperate to find sales engineers, sales managers, and financial controllers, key positions which can boost their business in times of crisis.
