Rent for A class office spaces to rise 20 percent

"We can already speak €19 per sqm average rent. As an example, rent for downtown class A buildings - prime location - amount to €25 per smq, while in the Pipera business area, the announced rent amounts to €16-17 per sqm," according to DTZ Echinox consultant Mihaela Cnobloch. 

According to real estate analysts, several companies became interested in purchasing office buildings instead of renting them. Many companies, especially local ones, would rather borrow money from banks to build their own offices and pay monthly interest rates, instead of paying rent.
