The price of land near Bucharest, appropriate for residential construction, is €80-300 per square meter, according to a statement by representatives of real estate company EuroMetropola for NewsIn. In areas north of the capital, such as Corbeanca, Balotesti or Saftica, prices range from €100-250/sqm, while in western areas such as Dragomiresti, Sabareni, Zurbaua, Rosu, and Chiajna land sells for €80-200/sqm. In the Cernica and Pantelimon areas east of Bucharest one square meter of land suitable for residential construction can be bought for €200-300, while southern Popesti Leordeni, Berceni, Frumusani and Jilava plots go for €150-300/sqm.
