Revenues of Orange Romania up by 24% in H1

The company’s revenues reached 578 million euros as its number of clients increased 18.8 percent after the first six months of the year, compared to the same period last year. Orange said it reached more than 8.5 million clients countrywide, this being one of the biggest increases worldwide, along with divisions in Egypt, Senegal and Jordan.

Orange Romania enlarged its client portfolio by more than 220,000 in the first three months of this year, after closing last year with 8 million customers.

Orange Romania is owned by France Telecom, Europe's second-largest phone company. The parent company posted a 1.9 percent increase in revenues from sales in the first half of the year, to 25.9 billion euros.
