Romair Consulting turned down two takeover offers
“Many Romanian advisory companies will be swallowed up by large multinationals, as this trend is an international one. The situation is similar in Poland, the Czech Republic and, especially in Hungary,” Romair Consulting President, Gheorghe Boeru, told Business Standard.

The company posted €7.3 million in business in 2007 and profit worth €1.8 mln.
Boeru said one of the major issues small consulting companies are facing is a lack of an integrated management system and sound project management. Furthermore, small companies are unable to support projects financially with their own funds.

“We sometimes withdraw from bids because we risk not having funds to start [a project]. Or we support it until it is finalized and cash in the money,” Boeru said. He added that attracting investment funds as shareholders could be a solution for this issue.

The local consulting market is estimated to be worth some €80 million. Other companies with Romanian capital are Ensight Management Consulting, De Klausen, and RCI Consulting.
