Starting today until Sunday morning, the rainfalls will exceed 50-60 liters per square meter in the counties of Caras Severin, Hunedoara, Mehedinti, Gorj, Valcea, Alba and Sibiu.
The west, north and part of the central areas will be under a yellow code warning. Heavy rains will fall especially in Banat, Crisana, Oltenia, Maramures, the western half of Transylvania as well as in the mountains where water quantities are estimated to exceed 25-30 liters per square meter.
Yellow code warnings refer to high temperatures, strong winds or rain. Orange code warnings refer to very hot weather, abundant rains or lightning.
