The study included 61 countries and 250 major retailers, and shows that 21 of those retailers are operating in Romania, with Metro, Carrefour and Rewe as market leaders.
The leader of CBRE’s ranking is the United Kingdom, with more than 55 percent of the retailers analyzed operating there, followed by Spain, with 51 percent.
In Central and Eastern Europe, Poland ranks first, with 36 percent of major retailers, followed by the Czech Republic (33 percent), and Hungary (27 percent). Romania outranked Slovakia and Ukraine (19 percent) and Bulgaria (14 percent).
The countries included in the study are located in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Romania has more retailers than Norway
