“We plan to develop our brand and are focusing on Europe. And Romania is Europe. We are sure to find the type of consumer we have elsewhere, clients who know and use the haute parfumerie concept,” the President of Annick Goutal perfume company, Brigitte Taittinger, said.
The Annick Goutal brand is exclusively sold in Romania in Madison shops, developed by local businesswoman Madeleine Florescu. Some 90 percent of Annick Goutal products are sold in Romania, Taittinger added.
“The Romanian luxury market developed significantly compared to several years ago, and niche producers must come to explain the mechanism of these brands,” she added.
The Robert Piguet perfume brand entered Romania due to the country’s higher purchasing power, and because many foreigners who know the brand have come here, according to Robert Piguet Representative Loic le Guen. The brand’s products are exclusively sold through the Beautik luxury store. “We go to places we consider best suited, where the client can be advised and is able to discover products,” le Guen said.
