Romania is bad example for telecom, EU commissioner says

She told participants to the European telecom operators summit in Venice that Romania has "weak and inconsistent" legislation in the field. 

Romania's National Communications Authority (ANC) was restructured this year, after its former head, Dan Georgescu, appealed the prime minister's decision to dismiss him. A court panel suspended the dismissal and the government issued an emergency ordinance reorganizing the authority and changing its name. Furthermore, ANC Director became Liviu Nistoran, the one who replaced Georgescu.
