Romania is construction industry leader in the EU

In November 2007, the volume of constructed buildings increased year-on-year by 32.6 percent. Production in the EU’s construction sector grew by an average 0.8 percent, although a 0.8 percent drop was reported for the Euro zone.

Moreover, Romania witnessed a 1.8 percent monthly increase, compared to October 2007, placing it second after Poland, for which a 2.3 percent increase in construction production was reported.
