Romania lacking outsourcing contracts
The main difference between Romania and other countries is outsourcing, because these major contracts, worth €100 mln for up to seven years, are missing.

“Infrastructure export contracts are non-existant in Romania. Everyone likes to manage the in-house services, to keep and develop their IT departments", says Eugen Schwab-Chesaru, Managing Director PAC for Central and Eastern Europe.

As concerns IT services, Romania has half the market of Hungary, a third of the Czech Republic, and less than one fifth of Poland, while for software, Romania is fairly close to Hungary, some 60 percent from Czech Republic, and 25 percent from Poland.

Software and information services had 15 percent growth this in 2007.
