Romania ranks fourth in the EU in terms of industrial product demand

Romania ranked fourth in the European Union in April in terms of industrial product demand, according to its Eurostat statistics office. The industry advanced by 33.6 percent year-on-year. Romania ranked behind Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania.

Production dropped 3.5 percent in April from March 2008. Romania is the second of five European states in which the demand for industrial products decreased, following Ireland, at 13.8 percent.
