Romania’s annual inflation climbs to 6.84 percent in October

The consumer price index went up 0.97 percent against September. Food stuff prices rose 1.3 percent in October against September, while the prices of non-food products rose 0.7 percent. Services prices increased 1 percent.

The largest price growth was seen in food oil, which went up 11.73 percent and eggs which rose 7.96 percent. Gas prices increased 3.66 percent.

The average price increase in the last 12 months and based on the consumer price index went up 4.6 percent. The average monthly inflation rate in the first ten months of 2007 stood at 0.5 percent.
