The privatization of Antibiotice Iasi started on December 24, 2007. AVAS offered for sale the majority stake, at a price of 2 lei per share, totaling some 130 million euros. The tender will take place on March 18, at 12 a.m.

Antibiotice Iasi posted 176.57 million lei revenues in the first ten months of 2007 and a 27.84 million lei net profit, up 17 percent against the same period in the previous year.

The company's shares are listed at the Rasdaq market, under the ATB symbol. The company's capitalization was of 846 million lei on January 11, 2008.
