The bank issued 163 million shares at a face value of 0.10 lei and shareholders subscribed 98.95 percent of them. Its majority shareholder remains businessman Ilie Carabulea who controls 35.82 percent of the capital.

The stock will return on the market on May 9 after it stopped trading to complete the share capital hike.

Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC) saw net profit last year of 7.98 million lei, a 58.6 percent drop versus the previous one, owing to spending with investments in network expansion.

The lender is listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the symbol BCC.
